Love Above All
Scripture: I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. - 1 Corinthians 13:1 (ESV)
You can attend every church service, memorize scripture, and participate in every ministry, but without love, it all falls flat. The world values action, achievement, and outward displays, but God looks at the heart. He sees beyond the rituals and routines, searching for the one thing that defines true discipleship-love.
Love is patient and kind. It doesnt envy or boast. Its not proud or rude. Love sacrifices, forgives, and seeks the good of others. Without love, worship is noise. Without love, service is self-promotion. Without love, even the most faithful acts are hollow.
God doesnt call us to check boxes; He calls us to live in relationship with Him and others, marked by love. When we serve, let it be through love. When we speak, let love be our language. When we post scripture or share our faith, let it reflect a genuine love for God and His people.
Reflection:
Take a moment to examine your heart. Are your actions driven by a desire to be seen or by a deep love for God and others? Ask God to fill you with His love and to make it the foundation of all you do.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for showing us the ultimate example of love through Jesus. Help us to live out Your love in everything we do. Strip away empty actions and replace them with a heart that beats for You and for others. May our lives reflect Your love to the world. In Jesus name, amen.
